A New Creation: Day 3 of Who Does God Say You Are? Journaling Prompts

The title for Day 3 of our "Who Does God Say You Are?" journaling prompts is "A New Creation." One of the truths about our identity in Christ comes from 2 Corinthians 5:17 - You are a new creation in Christ. Through today's journaling prompts, I want you to consider what newness in Jesus Christ means for you.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come."

Before you jump into the prompts, take a moment to sit with the verse. Read it once, twice, or five times, if you need to. After you've sat with it, take out your favorite journal and get ready to journal with God.

  1. What does this verse tell me about Christ?
  2. Ask yourself, “What old things have passed away from my life?"
  3. Ask God, “What new things have come now that I am in Christ?"
