It's day 6 of journaling with God on who He says we are. Today, we're back in 1 Peter. This time, we're focusing on 1 Peter 2:9, with the theme "Chosen. Royal. Holy. His."
This theme is inspired by how Peter identifies those who believe in Christ:
"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light."
Before you jump into the prompts, take a moment to sit with the verse. After you've sat with it, take out your favorite journal and get ready to journal with God.
- Read 1 Peter 2:9 aloud, then write down anything that stands out to you. Be sure to include why it caught your attention.
- The word of God says that we are "a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession" as believers in Christ. Do you believe this? Why or why not?
- Ask God how you can proclaim his excellencies today.
