Friend of God: Day 8 of Who Does God Say You Are? Journaling Prompts

Day 8 of journaling with God on who He says we are is all about friendship. In John 15:15, Jesus tells us that He calls us friends.

"No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you."

Before you jump into the prompts, take a moment to sit with the verse. Read it once, twice, or five times, if you need to. After you've sat with it, take out your favorite journal and get ready to journal with God.

  1. How would you describe friendship with Jesus? Jot down your thoughts and reflections.
  2. Ask yourself, "Are there any ways that I still see myself as a servant?"
  3. Ask God to remind you of what He, like a good friend, has made known to you.
